Welcome to LeafWord. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the LeafWord iOS application (“LeafWord”, “the App”). By installing or using LeafWord, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
LeafWord is intended for children ages 4–12, used under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using LeafWord, you represent that you are either:
Children may use the App only with a responsible adult’s permission and supervision. The adult is responsible for all activity and any subscription purchases made through the App.
LeafWord is a daily-word vocabulary app. Each day, Apple Intelligence (running on your device) generates a word appropriate for your child’s age band, along with a kid-friendly meaning, example sentence, and short fun fact. LeafWord also provides:
Your license to use LeafWord is governed by Apple’s standard End User License Agreement, which these Terms incorporate by reference. In the event of a conflict, these Terms control where they address matters specific to LeafWord.
LeafWord offers an auto-renewing subscription called Family Plus through the Apple App Store. Pricing and terms:

You can view, manage, and cancel your subscription at any time:
Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
All refund requests are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
You control the child profiles you create in LeafWord, including display names and age bands. All profile data stays on your device. You may edit or delete any profile at any time through Settings → Profiles.
Because profile information never leaves your device, deleting a profile or uninstalling LeafWord removes the data permanently and immediately. There is no remote copy.
The LeafWord name, logo, interface design, artwork, source code, and all other LeafWord-authored elements are owned by Mohan (the developer) and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of LeafWord except as permitted by Apple’s EULA or applicable law.
Words generated by Apple Intelligence are produced at runtime on your device. You may use them freely for your family’s learning.
When using LeafWord, you agree not to:
LeafWord uses Apple Intelligence to generate word lessons on-device. We design the app carefully — with multiple validators for accuracy, age-appropriateness, and safety — but generative AI can occasionally produce imperfect content. LeafWord is an educational supplement, not a replacement for a teacher, dictionary, or parent’s judgment.
If you ever see a word, meaning, or fun fact that seems inaccurate or inappropriate, please use the in-app report option or email us at mrrmfamily2022@gmail.com.
LeafWord requires iOS 26 or later and a device that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later; iPad with an M-series chip or later). If your device does not support Apple Intelligence, some or all features will not function. LeafWord is provided as-is; features, pricing, and availability may change over time.
LEAFWORD IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM INACCURACIES IN GENERATED CONTENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL MOHAN (THE DEVELOPER) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF LEAFWORD. IN ANY EVENT, TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO LEAFWORD SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (VIA APPLE) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or certain damages; in those places, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mohan (the developer) from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of LeafWord after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes that affect your subscription will be communicated in-app before taking effect.
You may stop using LeafWord at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you materially breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in India, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
